On 10th December 2018, the Fourth Graduation ceremony for Banadir Teacher Training Institute (BTTI) which is run by Formal Private Education Network in Somalia (FPENS) was held in FPENS meeting hall in Mogadishu.

NRC has been working on a long-term teacher training program in partnership with FPENS, which has paved the way for many secondary school graduates to continue their high education at the institute for two years to achieve post secondary diploma without fees.

The Directors of FPENS offices and Directors of NRC Mogadishu office, as well as the institute’s teachers and students were overwhelmed by the joy of graduation ceremony.

It is the first experiment of its kind in establishing such an institute after the collapse of the regime in Somalia.
